Job Overview:
The Sourcing Specialist plays a vital role within the Talent Acquisition team, focusing on identifying, sourcing, and engaging top talent in the life sciences and diagnostics field. This position will work closely with the Recruiter and relevant hiring managers to build a strong talent pipeline, particularly targeting passive candidates, to meet current and future hiring needs. A background in sourcing candidates within life sciences or diagnostics is strongly preferred.
Contract: 3 Months
Pay: $30-40/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively source and identify top talent in the biotech and diagnostics fields using databases, networking, social media, and direct outreach.
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and industry nuances.
- Conduct initial outreach and screenings to assess candidates' qualifications, interests, and cultural fit.
- Leverage tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS platforms, and sourcing databases to streamline and optimize sourcing efforts.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to refine sourcing strategies and align them with company goals and best practices.
- Research market trends in employment to help direct sourcing activities performed.
- Engage with talent communities through events, social media, and direct outreach to foster long-term relationships.
- Track and report key metrics such as outreach efforts, pipeline strength, and candidate conversion rates.
- Contribute to employer branding by promoting the company culture and sharing relevant content with potential candidates.
- Support additional sourcing, recruiting, or HR projects as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, recruiting, or a related HR field, ideally within biotech diagnostics or similar industries. (experience with lateral flow assay recruitment is a plus.)
- Familiarity with sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and social media platforms, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple sourcing projects, and meet goals.
- A bachelor’s degree (preferred); relevant experience will be strongly considered.
- Business-level Mandarin (preferred)
